The Branford Marsalis Quartet

[jazz music][on-hold jazz music]

[on-hold jazz music][jazzy music] And that's the music of the Branford Marsalis Quartet.

That is from the band's latest CD, Branford Marsalis Quartet and Dianne Reeves, Dedicated to You.

This is a CD dedicated to the album that was released in 1963, the self-titled John Coltrane, Johnny Hartman album.

And the name of the cut is entitled Big Nick.

It features Branford Marsalis on tenor sax, Joey Calderazzo on piano, Eric Revis on bass, Justin Faulkner on drums.

Now, the Branford Marsalis Quartet will be in town tomorrow.

They'll be performing at the Sheldon tomorrow with Dianne Reeves.

It's worth checking out.

Before Wyclef Jean was a bit of jazz poetry from the Mo' Better Blues soundtrack, Denzel Washington with the Branford Marsalis Quartet and trumpeter Terence Blanchard.

That came out in 1990.

And at the very top of the set was Hopetown Brown, live at WOMAD from 2020, and they are playing at Casita Miro on Waiheke Island this coming Friday and Saturday.
