Illinois lost TJ McMillan for the season.

So with Micah Madelow and Brandon Henderson likely out again, who do you want to see play a guard this week?

Brett Bielma did mention, we should say, just update for today, Brandon Hanson appears to be staying, starting at his left guard spot.

I wondered if he'd moved to right guard, which is where we'd seen him before.

Micah Madelow has a really good chance of returning against Ohio State.

Yeah.

Then we'll see where Brandon Henderson's timeline is, right? In terms of where he's at.

I think that might be a little bit longer than Madelow.

They're still dealing with some offensive line issues.

It doesn't look like Brandon Henderson is going to play.

He was starting at right guard.

Micah Matelow, who was starting at left guard, again, has a similar injury to Brandon Henderson.

So it's probably expected that those three guys are not going to be present on the offensive line.

um obviously you're still dealing with the jason platt injury who you know his his i don't know how he's gonna play because obviously we haven't seen it at this level but um it seems like they're playing braden trimble more in the slot and that's not really going too well for him just because it's not his comfortable spot um alex perry who's kind of your true x receiver six foot five 210 pounds is out for the season as well um and then on the on the defensive side you know there's always someone that kind of has like a minor injury and ends up missing Um, Daniel Brown has been out for quite some time and, um, you know, you just hope that you don't have any major injuries, those guys in the backfield, but Illinois is starting to get kind of banged up here.

They're not gonna throw out the run game or anything, but that's maybe where, where they have to get their head around.

With Micah Maddal out, with Brandon Henderson out, I, I thought the O line did a really admirable job.

So the starting offensive lineman of Illinois, we'll talk about Illinois first.

Brandon Henderson is going to be sidelined.

He is expected to miss this game as well as one of the receivers in Ja'Sean Platt.

But who will make their debut for the final linebacker is a linebacker, which I think he will make an impact as well.

And I think that's concerning is can you run the ball when everybody knows you're going to run the football?

So within that, when we talk about the offensive line, which it sounds like Brandon Henderson's going to be out for a couple weeks maybe.

Yeah, he kind of snuck that in in the press conference.

I mean, he didn't really want to talk too much about it, but he tried to downplay it.

what.

So, anyways, offensive line, we look at that.

Brandon Henderson may be out.

Sounds like maybe J.J. or Des Schuster will pop in at that right guard spot.

And now I think it's becoming a cool place to go watch a college football game.

All right, let's dive in to our six-pack questions, Joey, and let's start with number one is Brandon Henderson is out for this game, suffered a lower leg injury in the fourth quarter, got rolled up on.

Doesn't sound like it'll be season-ending, but could be back within two weeks, or this could last into four to six weeks.

That, to me, would say some kind of soft tissue sprain, something like that, Joey.

So how does Brandon Henderson's injury impact the Illinois offensive line going against this Duke pass rush?

Yeah, TJ McMillan played seven snaps against Duke last year.

He is in line to start at right guard for Illinois.

Brett Bielma didn't really say.

Quinn Matthews pitches for the Cardinals versus the Giants tonight at 845.

Illinois offensive lineman Brandon Henderson will miss Saturday's game versus Duke with a lower body injury.

The Illini host the Blue Devils Saturday at 2.30 on 99.7 FM and 9.70 AM WMAY.

Hot and dry conditions are back in the area for Tuesday.

I think it was right guard.

Uh, Brandon Henderson will also be out per Brett Bielema as well.

He had rolled up, he got rolled up at the end of the UAB game.

So expect TJ McMillan to get the start there on the right side of the offensive line.

Yeah, the one thing I will say, though, is that Illinois cannot afford any injuries to defensive tackles or any of the linebackers.

Obviously, they have Daniel Brown, who is a key Mike linebacker for them, that is still currently injured.

And then Brandon Henderson on the other side of the ball, who's also facing an injury.

But Illinois can't afford any injuries up there because they are razor thin defensively.
