Brand New Cherry Flavor

I know him mostly from TV.

I'm so glad you shouted him out, because I just wanna give it up for Nick Antosca, creator of Brand New Cherry Flavor, creator of the best horror series television has ever seen in Channel Zero.

This guy, one of our great screenwriters.

[laughs]

[laughs] Okay, back on track.

Tell me a little bit about I guess getting Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Yeah.

That's your first screen credit, first time going in a writer's room.

Ugh, I loved that job.

Um, I was working as an assistant for this writer, Carol Mendelsohn, who is known for running CSI for like 15 years, and I was her assistant and, um, I had agents at the time and I was trying to, you know, start my career as a writer.

Um, and I had written a script for the purpose of staffing and, uh, and I got into the room on- Brand New Cherry Flavor.

I met with Nick Antosca and Lenore Zion, and I just wanted that job so bad.

He was, uh, Ra- Radziinsky on Lost.

Um, he was in Brand New Cherry Flavor as the really slimy-

Oh.

Uh-

And like, you know what I mean? Like, it's like, what the fuck?

Yes, there were moments of it that reminded me of watching Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Which I

haven't seen yet, but I hear I'd like it.

Okay.

And then I finally finished Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Oh, yeah.

I saw that a long while ago, right? That's a few years old.
