And that allowed me to go out with confidence and thinking that this would continue and go find investment for my second movie.

Now, we got very lucky with the distribution on this movie as well because we're working with one of the, I think, last upstanding traditional distributors in the independent space, Brainstorm Media.

So for this one, uh, it was Brainstorm Media acquired it in North America.

And then over in the UK we're working with Lightbulb, which, uh, you know, so it's gonna go to Fright Fest and do some festivals, and then it's gonna go to VOD.

I believe September 9th is the date, um, over there.

People don't often bring up the necessary effect of of folks renting it as soon as it comes out but yeah that can create a push for the algorithms to recommend it to more people and it can have a sort of snowball effect um so i'm curious if you could talk a bit about how the distribution side of that worked like it sounds like you've got a pretty wide range of things set up so how did you arrange that

Yeah, we got distribution through a great group called Brainstorm Media.

They've been really fantastic partners to us.

And they are, to your point, yeah, I've heard so many horror stories from my friends who are also independent filmmakers.

And that means attention instead of, you know, you might think you would want a bigger place that takes a lot of films every month.

But then there's a good chance that they'll just bury you in their catalog and they won't give you any of the marketing budget or personal attention that you need for your film to stand out.

So I have nothing but good things to say about Brainstorm Media and our sales agents, Sublimity.

It's called Without Blood, and it's written and produced and directed by Angelina Jolie, who is a very statuesque woman.

She filmed this in Italy, and she got another gorgeous woman, Selma Hayek, who I think is just a goddess.
