Braham

Rainie, take it away, baby.

Caleb was born in 1986 in Braham, Minnesota.

Braham, Braham, Braham, Minnesota.

[laughs] His mother and father were committed to their faith, and his father was a pastor, mm, yummy, and he belonged to the Open Arms Church of God.

Ah.

[upbeat music] It's time for your local news minute for Thursday, October 1st.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will extend the current Highway 65 closure between Cambridge and Braham beginning today as crews continue construction north of Braham.

The main 10-mile segment between Cambridge and Braham will remain closed until late fall.

The extended work area allows crews to begin replacing centerline culverts from Highway 107 north to Brunswick.

To accommodate this work, Highway 65 will fully close from Isanti County Road 30 in Cambridge to Kanabec County Road 45.

So the state of Minnesota does an October 1st count, and that's where your revenue is actually based.

but again in Braham it looks really good I would say at a minimum you know we're holding steady and we really expect once those numbers are finalized that we are on the plus side so we've got an increase in enrollment which is good news we welcome several new staff members we have six new licensed staff members and we have ten in the support role so about half our employees in Braham are actually support roles so your secretaries custodial, food service, all those folks.

And then teachers, we've got about 56, 57 teachers.

So always fun to get things rolling and to get those new folks.

And right now it's a preliminary number, but it probably will stay there as 10.2%.

which I know sounds high.

This year in Braham, this next summer, we are gonna be doing roofing work.

And so we talked about this last month.

Obviously there's, there's probably some that were on the highway that the troopers dealt with.

There's probably some in Braham or Cambridge or Isanti that those officers dealt with.

But as far as the county goes, we did not have any.

Still good news to have z- uh, zero of those come through, uh, your, uh, office, so good to hear on that part of it.
