Bradwell

But I do remember...

The first time I was ever struck by wonder at a fellow creature, and that was walking out towards the sea wall outside the village where I lived in Bradwell in Essex.

I saw my first hare, and then I saw two hares, and then I saw four or five hares.

And I remember sitting against the wall of this ancient chapel called St. Peter's.
