Braddon

There's good news for Canberra's cyclists.

Work has wrapped up on Stage 1 of the Garden City Cycleway, connecting Angus Street and Ainslie to the intersection of Lunsdale and Cuyong Streets in Braddon.

Construction for Stage 2 is expected to commence next year.

Voters are turning on the Albanese government, according to this morning's news poll.

I personally think it has to be in the city.

I think it would reinvigorate not just Civic, but also Marnica, Kingston, the inner north, you know, because you could go to somewhere and like, what are the pubs in Braddon or even across? There's some nice spots you could easily walk to Civic from there.

It just makes sense.

It makes it such a better thing, and I think it's perfect.

I've started as Senior Director of Complex Development Projects, as you mentioned previously.

The organisation that I'm working for in particular looks after the growth of central Canberra area, which includes the city centre, Northbourne, Braddon and Dixon areas.

In particular, my role at City Renewal will be focusing on working on the Acton waterfront, which is a new lakeside neighbourhood.

I'm really excited in particular about getting to help shape something as part of the capital city in particular, which is a really special opportunity getting to work on a project of national significance.

The best window is the 4 to 5 a.m. window where the moon is starting to set because we have that bright full moon, but it also is not too low on the horizon.

And the Raiders HQ in Braddon is getting a $4 million upgrade.

It'll go towards things like a new indoor kicking centre, gym expansion and more offices.
