Brad Knott

That's right.

I was like, oh, CD13, right? With Paul Barringer running against Brad Knott.

Brad Knott went up on TV the other day.

I said, Brad, you that nervous? You, oh.

spicy up in Wake County, but I was shocked by that.

And honestly, that district is drawn like a fist.

And so Person County, where I live, is drawn in that 13th Congressional District.

And I would love to see Paul Barringer be able to take out Brad Knott.

Yeah, that's one thing that struck me as I was looking at the map is, you know, we talked about the 3rd District, that's eastern North Carolina, the 7th, that's southeastern North Carolina.

Those are areas that haven't seen a ton of growth over the past two years since the last election, but Tim Moore's district in the area around Charlotte going west includes some fast-growing pockets of Mecklenburg County, Gaston County.

You look into the Triangle, the 13th District is very Republican, but It includes portions of suburban Raleigh that are in Republican Brad Knotts' district.

Does that sort of factor into the data on these? Is this something we can't really predict? Because if you're looking at election results for two years ago, that doesn't factor in people who have moved into this district in the past two years?

Yeah, you're exactly right, Colin.

It's a seat Trump won by 16 and a half points.

But the Republican congressman there, Brad Knott, is a freshman, pretty undefined.

I don't think he is treating this like a competitive race.

And so it gives Democrats more of an opening to sneak up on him, particularly if you have a scenario where Cooper is winning by what would be considered a landslide in North Carolina and he know is keeping the race close in this district thanks to really high turnout in that wake county part of the state um and that could give paul behringer the democrat on the ballot a shot behringer also has raised more money than some other democrats who are in similar districts in north carolina there are a lot of north carolina districts that are kind of in the Trump 14 to 18 range that in a really, really bad cycle for Republicans could be at risk of flipping.

It's likely going to go to Jamie Ager.

And then there's even concerns about Brad Knott, which came out of nowhere for me.

I didn't think we need to be concerned.

He's right below us in Raleigh.

So these are stretches, but we have North Carolina 13.

The Republican is a guy named Brad Knott.

It's just a total zero, whatever Trump wants, just a rubber stamp.

The Democrat is a guy named Paul Berenger.

Which I've-- And that, that will be a pretty good a sized wave if that occurs.

The, uh, the funniest one I saw was, uh, they put Brad Knott, and Brian Brad's a former client.

They put Brad Knott on the list.

I'm like-

I think Richard Hudson's in it too.

He could take that back.

Brad Knott, who's in the 13th district, which is just south of Raleigh.

He's suddenly in a... leads Republican seat instead of likely Republican.

And so like that's pretty shocking that they're changing his race to be not as Republican as you would think.
