So a lot of people criticized that as not just the pardon itself, but the influence that the family may have had in that.

and there was also one in bowling green where a child was was sexually abused and in that case he he again said that that person was uh was actually uh innocent and was the sentence was too tough and he commuted that sentence so those are those are three of the most controversial ones there were other ones involving you know child sexual abuse uh involving murder and those got a lot of attention there were a lot of uh uncontroversial ones where uh where he felt that they deserved a pardon, they were already released from prison, or cases where they were a low-level drug offender.

But a lot of attention was paid to those very controversial ones, and that's really the impetus behind Senator McDaniel pushing for this amendment.

Did any of those people that Bevan pardoned, did any of them go on to be arrested later for similar crimes after they'd been pardoned?

And after he received the pardon, the feds decided to indict him for the same crime and he's now sentenced to 42 years.

So he actually has double the sentence that he would have had.

Also Dayton Jones in that Bowling Green case, Federal prosecutors also decided to charge him for that, so he did not actually escape a prison sentence because the federal government decided to come in and charge people for the same crime.

Laura, does Ohio have any restrictions on when a governor can issue a pardon?

And on CBS Sports Network, Delaware takes on Western Kentucky.

It gives it depth.
