i think halfway i was still pretty far first climb i was maybe 100 and like 20 something female and the race really changes in beaufort that's where you can start to see how the next bit is gonna unfold.

I think the strategy was really to get to Bourg Saint Maurice, so the first aid station where you actually get to see your crew.

Very composed and having taken care of myself during the night because we had hail and rain and the whole thing during the night.

And so I was really paying attention to putting my jacket, putting my gloves, trying to not lose too much energy by being cold for no reason just because I didn't take the time to put on my jacket.

I was a ski bum in the Alps for a winter season, and I used to live, um, near the Beaufort Co-op, was in the, the town, in, uh, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, near where, um, my resort was.

And it, it's a, it's a big deal out there, you know? And, and every autumn they bring the cows in down from the mountain and have this beautiful, like, parade of these beautiful cows.

Yeah.

Basically, the idea, I was explaining this to someone the other day.

The idea was last year, I think it was, I met the person who now owns my old chalet called Chill Chalet in Bourg Saint-Maurice.

I met him and I was talking to him and he was like, oh, we might rent it out and, you know, you could come here on holiday.

And I thought maybe we could do a pop-up chalet thing.
