Bothaville

So here's something interesting.

I'm standing here at Nampo Park in Bothaville.

This is in the Free State, and it's almost impossible to fully absorb what's happening around us.

Over nine hundred and ten exhibitors, more than four thousand agricultural products that are on display here across eighty hectares of land.

Even in linears, the spend shifts to precision equipment like utility tractors at around two hundred and fifty thousand rand that you can see almost behind me.

The total trade turnover, including deals closed in the three to six months following this event, all of that is roughly one to two billion rand annually.

And what about Bothaville itself? Well, the town of forty-six thousand people generates twenty-seven million rand in direct visitor spending during the four-day event, while corporate exhibitors inject a further eight million rand into local contractors and suppliers.

Seven hundred and fifty temporary jobs are created from this Nampo Expo.

Yeah.

Um, from there we moved to Lichtenburg for a few years, and in grade two we moved to Bothaville.

That's where I, I finished school.

So I grew up actually in Bothaville.

Yeah, very much the farming community out that way.

Altyd lekker in the farming, hey?

Yes.

So how long did your dad more or less have Foxy for?
