Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps

Flanagan High School, I was in the World Guard for a good three years.

I marched DCI at Boston Crusaders, Carolina Crown, Santa Clara Vanguard, and the Blue Devils.

I've taught at numerous World Guards around Miamisburg and Bellbrook.

as well as in Texas and Claudia Taylor Johnson.

What

happened? What happened on that rep? Like most of my time at ensemble rehearsals, when I taught the cadets, when I was mellophone teching at the cadets, when I was mellophone teching at Boston Crusaders was just walking up to a single kid, walking back to their dot with them and asking them what happened, what they felt like, you know, what was going on.

Hey, is this something that happens all the time? Or was that just like kind of a weird rep? Instead of yelling at them in front of everyone, getting down to the root of the problem, using your personal experience.

I've been out there.

Who was that with the batons the other year, a few years ago? Who was that?

Boston Crusaders.

Was that? Okay.

All right.

Last year was Bluecoats.

I want to say two years ago was Boston.

Maybe it's a coincidence.

Maybe the West Coast has just got something special with them.

Oh, absolutely.

I was announcing

the DCI Mount Sac show when Boston came out and I was on the field, you know, where the announcer's table was.

And when they came and like blue devils, I think everyone was great.
