Boston College

So when I went to college, I was kind of upside down.

I started at Boston College and I had Peter Kreeft as a professor.

You know, and he, he introduced me to JP II.

Mm.

And, and he might be even, like, a quarter of an inch shorter than me, but he made it i- into the NHL.

He played at Boston College.

He played the National Team Development Program before that.

He was always this can't-miss, like, super skilled player that was just super short.

Our guest today is Peter Gray.

Peter is a research professor of psychology and neuroscience at Boston College.

He studied at Columbia University and earned a PhD in biological sciences at Rockefeller University and has published research in developmental psychology, anthropology, and education.

He wrote a college introductory textbook, now in its eighth edition, and for years he wrote the Freedom to Learn column at Psychology Today.

Um, Peter masters had just graduated from Boston college and, um, Billy Regan had just started coaching.

So they were taking a bunch of, I would call kids with potential and they were putting in development plans and focusing on weaknesses and strengths.

And we played, we went to tournaments where we played like honey baked little Caesars.

... man, we are starting to get the all 22 film.

We just took a look at KJ Duff versus Boston College.

He led all Big Ten running backs with 884 yards after contact, as well as 76 forced missed tackles.

So the statistics backed up what I saw on the 2025 summertime film and the summer scouting.

But, you know, week one, he against UMass, 14 to 42, three point yards per carry, and then week two at Boston College this week, 27 carries, 134, five yards per carry, and he did have a four-yard touchdown catch.

I got the, the Boston College, you know, all 22 film, cut it up, uh, actually yesterday morning, and watching it and came away extremely disappointed.

I'm thinking guard, potentially.

Evan Tingsdall was really good against Boston College, which should be expected.

thought Sirvel was really good against Texas, too.

Rutgers has a quarterback decision coming up, and I think the answer is actually a little clearer than the box score makes it look.

Because, yes, A.J. Cerese, he did throw four interceptions at Boston College.

That's bad.

You cannot dance around that.

Okay, Lonergan won the job at a camp.

He started against UMass with 16-29 for 242 yards through two touchdowns, sorry, and three interceptions, and Rutgers lost 37-21. at home.

So race then got the start on the road trip against Boston college because Lonergan got injured and so race went 18 of 27, 230 yards, three touchdowns, but four interceptions and a 28 to 21 loss.

So if you stop there, you, you know, you, this decision kind of mean is, is easy here, right? Four interceptions.

I mean, Clemson's there, but you know, Clemson's not great.

Boston College, Wake Forest, UNC, Stanford this week, William & Mary.

There's real RB1 upside here for him.

And he catches a lot of passes, too.

Not really sure what to think about them.

They beat Boston College week one, who Boston College did pick up a win against Rutgers.

Rutgers stinks.

Uh, beat Western Carolina 62-10 this week.
