My name is Borna Bonakdarpour.

I am an associate professor of neurology here at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and also in the Mesulam Institute for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease.

I see a lot of patients with degenerative brain diseases like Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal degeneration, Lewy body disease, strokes, people who have trouble with memory, with language, with visual processing, with behaviors.

One avenue Dr. Bonakdarpour studies for treating these patients is how music can help with their brain's processing problems.
