While one would have expected the Rebirth book to get released tied into HBO's Lanterns, as far as has been reported, only Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner and Aaron Pierre's Jon Stewart will be in the movie, so you can skip that one for textual and ethical reasons.

As Surprise announced at last year's New York Comic-Con, Something is Killing the Children is crossing over with DC's Swamp Thing in the first ever crossover for Boom Studios' Slaughterverse.

We finally got a debut date and synopsis to prove it's actually happening.

Hitting stars in December, the 64-page one-shot will be by James Tynan IV and Werther Dell'Adora, aka the team from Something is Killing the Children.

Like the beauty is kind of sort of set apart in its own thing.

But, um, But the Red Mother that I did for Boom Studios and Murder Podcasts and The Folk of Dooney Hollow and like all the stuff in my anthology collection of short stories, they all basically take place in the same universe.

So there's like kind of this mythos that sort of connects all of those things.

Would you ever do a crossover? I know that's not the coolest thing ever, but would you ever do that? I don't know.

Liz has hung out, and we've played games in the shop.

It also affected the comic side of it, too, because Diamond was the distributor for Marvel, DC, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, IDW, Dynamite Entertainment, Boom Studios, Valiant, Oni Press, and basically the major distributor of manga and graphic novels in North America.

And when this wound up happening, comic shops across the nation here at the very least, we didn't get our comic books.

And so like you would think, oh, that's not too bad.

Um, so there are these overwhelming hype cycles, which brings us to today's podcast.

Because I'm going to need by September 21st people who are interested in this comic book to actively tell their comic book store of choice that they want to read No One Escapes the Dialectic by Spencer Ackerman and Antonio Fuso, published by Boom Studios, uh, even though that comic is not gonna be published until November 3rd.

It's a crazy business.

It's an extremely contingent one.

And so when, uh, Kirkman licenses it, he accordingly, you know, gets all of, uh, the share of that ownership, uh, entitles him to in adapting it.

Um, other comic book publishers offer kind of that, that, that, you know, versions of that.

Um, uh, you know, some of them, like the, like Boom Studios, which is publishing No One Escapes the Dialectic, uh, serves as a conveyor into, uh, Hollywood in particular and, and wants to be a kind of adaptation shop.

Will it happen with this? I don't know, but knock wood, it would be kind of cool if something like that happened.
