My Little Pony comics.

Bone.

No, my point specifically is that comics are not just based on things or just Marvel and DC.

There are all sorts of comics that exist about all sorts of things.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Bone is one of those.

Correct.

But of my specific line, I was trying to go things based on things.

And that's why I put him in.

The goats, I put, I mean, in part because even when I sent it out, I said, we're going to pick three true all-age comics apiece, but you can't say Bone or Calvin and Hobbes.

And as soon as I said that, I said peanuts.

So the goats, the ones that define this category to me are Charles Soule's Peanuts, Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes, and Jeff Smith's Bone.

I don't think there's anybody of any age that won't find something that they love in those comics.

We really should have mentioned that one.

Bone's an outlier, right? That it ran for...

you know, what, like eight years or something like that? I mean, it's just tremendous, right? And he did it all on his own.

Well, what Tom said is what triggered it, because that's one of the ones that went Scholastic Book Fair.

If you have a kid within a certain age range, like a few of us do, they had Bone books on their shelves because they got it at the Scholastic Fair.

Or something you've never heard of.

Bone is, is one of like the coolest stories, but it's like a little white cutie little character.

And yet it's such a good story and such a good comic book.

So, you know, I would have never thought that unless someone highly recommended it to me, I bought it and I couldn't make it happen to your happier.

It's going to be things like, I mean, stupid, stupid rat creatures.

The Jeff Smith joke in Bone issue one or two, two I think it is, is one of the funniest jokes anyone has ever written anywhere.

Moments of Cerebus.

When Dave Sim wanted to be funny, especially in the 1980s, he was capable of writing the funniest comic book there ever was.

Dave decided he had other things he wanted to do, so things went a different direction.

But both of those comics, Bone and Cerebus, have plenty of laugh out loud moments.

And hey, I'll throw in Amelia Rules.

I have no problem saying I think Amelia Rules is an extremely funny comic book.
