Bolivar Trask

Three years after walking out on his team, Wolverine rejoins the mutant task force Team X in their darkest hour.

Driven by his fanatical belief in human superiority, Bolivar Trask is kidnapping mutants.

Only Wolverine has what it takes to save them.

In his fight for the future, Wolverine must team up with the fellow mutants across the globe through locations like Canada, Japan, Jesus Christ, it's hard to talk, and the Marvel Island nation of Madripoor.

I mean, I'm not finished it yet.

Um, It's pretty good.

I really liked Bolivar Trask as a villain.

I don't want to get too deep into it because obviously things happen throughout the game.

Of course it's Decimation, but like...

My first prominent experience with her was in the X-Force stuff later when she comes back and she's sitting next to like all these mass murderers like Bolivar Trask and like all these names I know and I'm like who the fuck is this person like I don't remember this crazy bitch and I don't like the word bitch very much but for this woman.

I'm like, who, where did she, where did she come from? And like going back and reading her whole history was kind of, I don't know, there's some things missing.

Like whatever story they were trying to tell with her got hijacked into something else.

William Stryker, who's like the leader of like the anti-gay church.

The Leopard Queen, Cameron Hodge, who's the gay far-right Republican who literally has a group called The Right with their faces painted in Reagan, Reaganomic smiles.

And then Bolivar Trask, who's the original like baby boomer murder guy.

Like this is a wild roster of characters.

And we have Evan Peters...

As a guy named Peter, aka Quicksilver, and we have the villain of the movie, Peter Dinklage, as Dr. Bolivar Trask.

And that's pretty much it for the cast, a huge cast, and it makes sense why.

but very large cast.

And Kitty's like, what are you talking about? What will work? And he's like, well, here's the deal.

The Sentinels, that's what those evil robots are called that are killing all the mutants and rounding us all up.

Well, they were created by a scientist all the way back in 1973 by the name of Bolivar Trask.

But the problem was Mystique killed him in 1973.

Movies for 300.

This actor played Bolivar Trask, the Sentinel Building weapons designer in Days for Future Past.

Shag.

Robin Williams.

They kind of talk about, Professor Xavier talks about this all started.

When Mystique assassinated Trask back in 1972, I think is the date, in the past.

And that led to the program of the Sentinels.

And they also captured Mystique and used her ability on the Sentinels to make these killing machines.

The future.

Days of future past.

And they realize that Logan's the only one that can be sent back in time and stop Mystique from killing Trask.

So they must unite Professor Xavier and Magneto in the past to persuade Mystique not to basically kill people.

So you get the feeling like they are setting up Sentinels.

Because for those of you who don't know, Bolivar Trask is the creator of the Sentinels in the X-Men comics.

So they are setting up a Sentinel uprising or something.

And that's how it ends.

So, you know, so he's in this Team X with run by not quite Mr. Sinister yet.

And like the first main villain is Bolivar Trask, who is starting.

He's got the Reavers and he's starting the Sentinel program.

And there's some early I didn't like the early missions.

He wants to create life in his own image and make everybody fit his mold and his plan.

And so I think that the whole plot that he had, I thought, was very true to the character from what we've seen.

It's an interesting sort of plot, like, Bolivar Trask is working on his own version of Cerebro or something.

Something,

So when the game starts, uh, you, you...

Like, the beginning of this game really takes place with, um, Oliver Trask, B- Oliver, excuse me, Bolivar Trask.

[laughs]

And his whole, his whole mission is to eradicate mutants, much like his story in X2 and just in the comics where he's building Sentinels.

Yeah.

Yeah.Um, uh, Hasbro had their Marvel Legends, uh, the X-Men '97, which is Bolivar Trask and Bastion-

Yeah

...
