Jamie DalyHOST

exactly and a cup double as well to end off 2026 and a person who's if you're a viewer a a face and a voice you haven't heard in quite a while matthew dooley it's been it's been a minute since you've been on the podcast and since your absence bows have lost to cork and then lost to dublin derby to rovers so how are you how is how has the form been over the last few weeks for yourself this has not been great for bows
Matthew DooleyHOST
2:31
No, it's not that great for both.
Matthew DooleyHOST
2:33
Maybe there's a correlation there.
Matthew DooleyHOST
2:36
I mean, what was it? We lost the last two games of the season.
Matthew DooleyHOST
2:40
We lost to Cork City, for God's sake.
Matthew DooleyHOST
2:42
Losing to Dublin Derby in the last game under the lights of Dalyman Park.
Matthew DooleyHOST
2:45
Not the way we would have wanted to really end the season.
Dickie KellyGUEST
1:37
But in terms of the atmosphere, it was incredible.
Dickie KellyGUEST
1:39
Dublin Derby, they're the games we want to be playing in.
Dickie KellyGUEST
1:41
And obviously, balls were going for the league at the time.
Dickie KellyGUEST
1:44
But yeah, listen, a great win.

36 MINS LATER

Dickie KellyGUEST
38:13
So I always knew that I'd get a chance.
Dickie KellyGUEST
38:16
And yeah, listen, a great feeling.
Dickie KellyGUEST
38:18
Obviously, Dublin Derby away from home.
Dickie KellyGUEST
38:21
It was obviously a great atmosphere.
Jack KelleherHOST
32:56
What a way to turn it on.
Jack KelleherHOST
32:57
I mean, coming on against Shamrock Overs in the Dublin Derby and then just getting a chance in the start.
Jack KelleherHOST
33:03
Sander Muller wasn't in the squad.
Jack KelleherHOST
33:04
I mean, he's been at that left-back position most of the season.
Gary ReillyHOST
1:15
I would've been caught in, in the, in the traffic and the people traffic as well, so.
Kieran BurkeHOST
1:22
Is that your first Dublin derby?
Gary ReillyHOST
1:24
Of my life?
Kieran BurkeHOST
1:25
Yeah.
Gary ReillyHOST
3:08
... something was happening, um, which, which really was true.
Gary ReillyHOST
3:13
Like, there was lots of jibber-jabber in the crowd, like heading up to the seats or whatever.
Gary ReillyHOST
3:18
There was lots of, you know, get into these type feeling, um, which was great to see, which you want for a Dublin derby, but also like at this stage of the season with Bohs probably doing as well as they have in the league, you know, probably the last two or three years, um, or longer even.
Gary ReillyHOST
3:35
Um, you know, there was something really on the line, and I thought it was a, it was a decent enough game.
Colm BoohigHOST
12:11
so Pats have that game in hand they win that they're three points behind Shamrock Rovers and like Colin's outlined Pats have a superior goal difference their plus 27 to Rovers is plus 21 yeah
Owen HearyGUEST
12:19
I feel what Pats have gone for them is the defence they're keeping clean sheets which is a major plus at this end of the season but the only thing is they're playing two Dublin derbies in those four games you know and Dublin derbies can go either way whereas Rovers don't have any Dublin teams to play Galway, Sligo down the bottom of the table not playing for anything Dundalk there's no chance of finishing fourth and getting Europe either so they could be seen out the season those three shells regardless of whether they've nothing to play for it's a Dublin derby so that's the difficult one the same when they come to play Bowles and then they're heading to Derry who have just got into a cup final and this will be coming back to their brandy well and Pat's going up there trying to get three points to win the league there's going to be players playing for cup final places that's going to be a difficult game for them to do
Colm BoohigHOST
13:05
Now do we have to talk about it? The scenes at full time.
Colm BoohigHOST
13:08
Your former League of Ireland colleague Owen Doyle was on television and he didn't hide it.

12 MINS LATER

Owen HearyGUEST
25:06
I always wouldn't want to lose that game.
Owen HearyGUEST
25:08
Even though Rovers are, you know, the big rivals, Pats are just big rivals as well.
Owen HearyGUEST
25:11
It's a Dublin derby and the last thing you want is Pats lifting the trophy in front of you.
Owen HearyGUEST
25:16
That'd be a no-go.
David WilsonHOST
0:59
We know how good these games are.
David WilsonHOST
1:01
We know how much quality there is in the league and it's going to be really interesting this week to get onto the LOI pod on Wednesday afternoon with Stephen Doyle and Vinnie Peart and Gareth McGlynn to dissect not just the Dublin derby but also the FUI Cup semi-finals and to look ahead to the title running because...
David WilsonHOST
1:20
Yeah, there were some really good players on show last night.
David WilsonHOST
1:22
Obviously, the stuff that happened after the pitch or after the full-time whistle is exactly the type of stuff that we want to see.
Conor ClancyHOST
20:25
The surprise for me was that not that Napoli played quite well, but that they played quite well against a team who have been very good this season in Frosinone.
Conor ClancyHOST
20:34
Um, just got distracted 'cause I have to say, listeners, the Dublin Derby has gone mad.
Conor ClancyHOST
20:39
Bohemians leveled and then Rovers scored straight away, and now Bohemians are on the attack, and I think they just hit the post, but now they've...
Conor ClancyHOST
