Body Melt

I have another movie recommendation that I did a full video on.

Body Melt from 1993.

I love this movie.

Directed by Philip Brophy, residents of Pebbles Court, Holmesville are being used unknowingly as test experiments for a new body drug that causes rapid body decomposition and painful death.

What is this? A new age of human potential has dawned.

Carol!

Body melt.

Pray they don't visit your street.

That's cool.

And you also got the staff pick recommendation for me based on your choices is an Australian film called Body Melt.

a film that i really adore um for those that aren't familiar with it it's directed by philip brophy who is one of the great film maniacs of australia he's made i think body melt might be his only feature he's made some iconic short films and some uh incredibly astute uh film criticism as well like he's a he's an all-around film like cinephile maniac one of the I didn't

look into that stuff.

I looked into some of his shorts and stuff, like blood spit, cum spit, whatever that was.

Yeah, he's a composer.

He truly is a master, like one of the great film minds and truly someone who I think is incredibly intelligent.

I was lucky enough to host a screening with him and our dear friend Ben Boots McLeay from Bunta Vista of Body Melt a couple of years ago at the BOLF, the Brisbane-only Repulsive Liquid Film Festival.

Yeah, I think they end up melting.

I remember everything about body melt.

Body melt, body melt.

Granted, I've seen this stuff once.

I've seen body melt I don't know how many times now because I'll fall asleep to it sometimes.

God, body melt rules, guys.

Check it out.

1991 Australian sci-fi horror film.

Sha, what's your third and final pick for '93?

I'm probably gonna go with, uh, Body Melt, which, uh, Vinegar Syndrome put out.

I've heard of that.

Um, if you like gory practical effects, like, if you like the movie The Fly, you know, it's, it's a body horror movie.

Um, so if you like street trash, shit like that, I definitely recommend, uh, Body Melt.

You know, you know what, though? I...

No, fuck it.

I know the movie.

Body Melt.

Never seen it either.

Okay.

Spin a third time.

Let's see what we got.

We might be begging for body melt in a

moment.
