So maybe just to start off, can you kind of give us a little bit of background on, you know, where you grew up and when you started playing sports and what sports you played?
5:53
Yeah, a hundred percent.
5:54
So grew up here in Texas and so born and raised, but it's kind of funny.
5:58
My dad's from Massachusetts, mom's from Oklahoma, but since my dad played for the Rangers for a while, like Texas stuck and, but youth baseball for me, I was always blessed just because my dad played and we're always fortunate enough.
6:09
I was able to go.
6:11
have the equipment that I needed, be able to do whatever.
6:14
But then just kind of growing up in Texas, it was starting up at six years old.

32 MINS LATER

38:34
Yeah.
10:34
So that, that's my question, is I feel like there are other superstars in the game too that are very humble, but you, do you recognize, like, they're saving those challenges for you sometimes?
10:44
Yeah, I think it just comes down to the situation, knowing what's right, and then being 100% with it, if it's a ball or whatever it is.
10:51
Just knowing, trying to figure out to know the zone, how well you know the zone, and really practice it in either spring training or there's ways to do it with the Trackman or whatever it is, in the cage or whatever.
11:00
And just try to really just hone in on knowing the zone, but know, know what a strike is, and then know what, what's not a strike, really.
11:06
And just actually too, just talk to some of the younger guys that, guys who are in triple A, up and down, that have dealt with the ABS and everything, and just get, get to know their knowledge.
11:16
Talk to the triple A hitting coaches.
11:17
Talk to the triple A coaches or whoever, and just get to kind of feel it out.
11:51
Oh, I'm not gonna tell anybody." What did you work on this off-season?
