Democrat Chairman Bobby Singleton claimed that the party has awakened a sleeping giant amid economic concerns and renewed energy.

But you will note Bobby Singleton, like Rudolph Drake, seem to have very little in mind when it comes to actual ideas.

They're basically just like Doug Jones running anti-Republican campaigns, which might be enough.

It's not a bad strategy.

I mean, what's the point? Why even exist? And they finally cut a deal with Joe Reed, it seems.

Bobby Singleton's now the party chairman.

They're playing to win.

It, it's just not, it's not hopeless for them, at least in their minds.

It could have been a lot worse if you'd had a game-ready prepared Alabama Democratic Party.

'Cause right now you got Bobby Singleton, he's the Senate minority leader as a chairman.

But a few months ago, it was Randy Kelly up in Huntsville, and it was just, [clears throat] for better or, or worse, uh, description, you're just a kind of an appendage of Joe Reed, the party boss, who kind of picked and choose the, the chairman.

Now his, his power had weakened over the years as the Democratic Party had weakened.

If you're operating heavy equipment, you gotta know how to operate it and operate it effectively and efficiently.

He says the new training center is a multi-year collaboration that is producing results.

And I'm so proud today that what we brought together in the collaborative efforts between the executive branch of government and the legislative branch of government, and now with two-year colleges, we are now seeing something that models an envy by the people across the United States.

And, you know, Democrats have played this right.

I don't know if it's because Bobby Singleton is ushering in a new era or whatever.

But Doug Jones is not going to be governor, I don't think.

But I do think that what he has done is he has energized a lot of Democrats, and they figured out how to pinpoint target certain districts that they could possibly flip.

It'll be interesting to see not just in this election what happens.

I agree with you that they're probably going to pick up some seats.

But what does it matter, like in the legislative session? How does that messaging go forward with Bobby Singleton, with Anthony Daniels? What's it going to look like in the legislative session? So I'm curious about all of it.

Yeah, and I don't know how much of it is.

... that is happening in our country.

I, I'm gonna follow that up with talking about Bobby Singleton [laughs] and ask you, you know, the Democrat Party in Alabama seems to be making some headway, um, and gaining some ground.

I know Senator Bobby Singleton was just elected the chairman.

You've gotta have tons of frenemies over there, because, you know, you do have to work with, in some ways, um, the people across the aisle.

There, there are rules in place, especially in the Senate, that can hold up legislation, so we're kind of forced to do that.

Have you spoken to Bobby Singleton about his new role? What do you think will be different in the Democratic Party, and has it adjusted your plan at all?
