Bob Toledo

So that's a long time ago.

I know Bob Toledo had a couple 10-win seasons in the midst of that, but...

Nevada, for me, would probably be where I'm likely going to go here.

I want to see how much this is going to rise.

And, Mace, they were getting 75,000, 80,000 people.

When Bob Toledo was there, they were packing it up the whole time.

Right.

So, Tim, how can we help you? How can people...

When's the last time UCLA was better than SC? When the program was better.

Bob Toledo.

What year was that? He beat them

eight years in a row.

hope that Bob Cheney likes LA.

Was that Cade McNown? I really hope he likes LA.

Was that Cade McNown? Cade McNown was with Bob Toledo.

Bob Toledo.

No.

But when Bob Toledo w- won those 20 games in a row, they were, they were hovering around 90 the whole time.

Were they really-

Yeah

Oh, yeah

...

Bob Toledo is a ...

The last-

And lo and behold...

UCLA was undefeated with Bob Toledo, Cade McNown, a quarterback.

They lose to Miami in the postponed game.

Kansas State loses to Texas A&M in the Big 12 championship game.

Danny Farmer was doing his thing.

There were some trick plays with Bob Toledo.

That was really, you know, part of that magical 98 run, right, of getting the 10-0.

And really the last time that UCLA, you know, was really close, tantalizingly close to a national championship.

You could not only have outdoors.

I was reading about a game with Tulane in the mid-2000s recently, and Bob Toledo was complaining because it rained all week in New Orleans, and they had to practice in the gym on the wood floors.

That doesn't do you any good.

And so if you don't have that, you need it somewhere, and that indoor practice facility was necessary.
