Bob Thomas

Another book that I recommend, if you're looking for Walt Disney World biographies, there are two that I recommend.

Bob Thomas wrote one.

He's kind of the gold standard.

That's the one that everybody goes to.

It is so deep into Walt's life.

The parks, you get so...

Whereas the Bob Thomas book tends to be a little, I don't want to say fluffy.

It does talk about the hard parts too, but it kind of gives a positive spin on a lot of things.

And I spent an awful lot of time there.

And there were, I mean, there was one book on Walt Disney, one, a good one by Bob Thomas called The Art of Animation.

But there was nothing written about anybody else.

And there was no place to read anything about who made these cartoons, when did they make them, Why did they change in certain ways? All of that.

Kanin frequently stated that Harry Brock was modeled on Columbia production chief Harry Cohn, with whom Kanin had a long and testy relationship.

According to Cohn biographer Bob Thomas, Cohn knew of Kanin's attribution but didn't care about it.

In 2012, Born Yesterday was deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
