Bob Larson was born in May 1944 in Los Angeles, but he was raised in McCook, Nebraska.

Larson played guitar growing up and has claimed that his early experiences as a musician inspired his later concerns about the occult and the destructive influences of rock and roll.

In the early '60s, Larson was in a rock band called The Rebels, and he later made exaggerated claims about that band's notoriety or success.

Brainwashing, you might say.

So for this show, Larson tended to focus mainly on teen-oriented topics like the evils of Dungeons & Dragons or the inherent evils within rock and pop music and the effect that music had on the fans.

In so doing, over the course of the '80s and '90s, Bob Larson played a major role in the hysterical, ridiculous fear-mongering of the Satanic Panic.

Yes, Bob Larson, a lying grifter, exploited ignorance and that hysteria to avoid actually working for a living.
