In fact, for sheer excitement, I haven't seen anything better at Bathurst, and I've been watching it since there were E-Type Jags being driven by Bob Jane back in the, in the '60s, I reckon.

As a little kid in a Mi- Mini Minor, there was Cooper S's or something, whatever they were called.

You had all these different types of cars going around.

And I think up until sort of that point, I think it was 1981, where basically dad had run out of money.

He'd finally got himself a, he actually entered the world of Bob Jane T-Mart's tyre stores.

Yeah.

And through Bob Jane, who was a motor racing person, a driver in the period.

Driver.

Yeah.

They connected and dad got involved in the franchise system with Bob Jane T-Mart's.

And it was probably only then that he then had the capacity and the income to to start to do a bit of racing at a more competitive level.

Yeah, yeah.

Gets Bob Jane, flies him in on a chopper to Calder Park, runs the NASCAR round, other side of the car.
