In Tulsa, Oklahoma, there's a thing called the Bob Dylan Center.

Dylan's manager apparently found all this stuff that he'd been hoarding and basically said to him, "You gotta store this properly, otherwise it's all gonna get destroyed." And so a, a, a couple of guys in, in Tulsa have, ha- had bought up Woody Guthrie's papers, and so they're, they're properly exhibited.

Cool.

And so there's a Woody Guthrie Center, and next door to the Woody Guthrie Center is a Bob Dylan Center-

Oh, he'd like that

... which I imagine Bob Dylan was thrilled about.

... kind of how music is here.

And when he passed away, his stuff went into storage, and eventually it showed up, and his, his final library and record collection ended up at the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Um, it's stored in a climate-controlled room.

It's not, it's not part of any collection.

Taddy and I

actually went to see films from the Bob Dylan Center recently, the Paris Theater, and Bill Frizzell played.

Wow.

It was wonderfully romantic.

One thing I wanted to also ask about, because I saw on Instagram, you were recently in Tulsa, Oklahoma, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Woody Guthrie Center.

And then I saw that you wandered over next door to the Bob Dylan Center and ran into Ramdon Jack Elliott.

Yes.

That was wild.

He was there for the same reason that I was.

I mean, he was, of course, I mean, he was the headliner of this 10th anniversary thing and played a great show at this club down the street at the end of the weekend.

But it was wild because I was invited there by the Woody Guthrie Center, which is essentially the same, some of the same staff as the Bob Dylan Center and as this building next door.

It was my first.

I had 20 minutes.

I spent the first 10 minutes talking about the fact that he was doing a concert at the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma to celebrate his 75th birthday.

He's doing a series of concerts.

One of them is in Tulsa.

Name the Muscogee Creek writer and musician who served as the first indigenous poet laureate of the United States from 2019 to 2022.

She is currently serving as artist in residence at the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Though they share a last name, she is not related to the director of the television shows Reservation Dogs and The Low Down.

Um, so I know this one 'cause I actually teach her poetry in my class.

Mm.

I'm thinking, for example, about even in 1965, so when he came over to the UK to film Don't Look Back, and he was wearing that amazing leather blazer which he would later then also wear at Newport Folk Festival and which is now in the Bob Dylan Center on display.

To me, that was always such a perfect example of something that is so timeless in its stylishness-
