Episode 12 to be exact.

And back onto Looney Tunes, while I do enjoy most of the male characters' performances by the various actors who took the roles after Mel Blanc passed away, like Jeff Bergman, Joe Alasky, Bob Bergen, and Jim Cummings.
Caleb DoerksenHOST
70:44
I think Eric Bauza is probably one of the best successors to Mel Blanc for many of those characters, including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, if not the best.
Caleb DoerksenHOST
70:55
Like just about every single role he did for Looney Tunes, whether it's Bugs or Daffy or Porky, etc., he really captured everything that made those characters so beloved during the days of Mel Blanc.
Eric BauzaSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
40:11
He said Daffy, okay? You're not even in this movie we're promoting today.
Eric BauzaSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
40:16
Oh, Bob Bergen.
Eric BauzaSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
40:16
Nice try.
Eric BauzaSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
40:18
Guys, calm down.
Brad StaggsHOST
40:23
Pig, perfect Daffy
Ron PhillipsHOST
40:24
Duck.
Ron PhillipsHOST
40:24
Yeah, so Bob Bergen.
Ron PhillipsHOST
40:26
from 1990 to present he's the guy that i'm friends with on facebook he's he's a he does uh porky pig he's the modern voice of porky pig can you do porky i can't do porky i did see porky's once that was a good movie
Eric BauzaGUEST
11:07
And there may or may not have been a grand budget on this.
Eric BauzaGUEST
11:12
They could only really they could only really hire myself and Bob Bergen because, you know, he's the ultimate porky pig.
Eric BauzaGUEST
11:22
And I think this is actually even before Looney Tunes cartoons comes out this summer.
Eric BauzaGUEST
11:29
um uh Looney Tunes World of Mayhem was the very very first time that I voiced Bugs Gaffey and and a bunch of these characters really like I mean they're I I'd say that those are like excuse me the the main strong ones uh and then the other ones you know you kind of hear them and go oh well we gotta get Brad Tatasciore in we gotta get Jeff Bergman back you know like uh I'm glad that I got to do it, but I would never want to do that.
Eric BauzaGUEST
13:48
So I watched the reruns of like the Flintstones and Yogi Bear, Jetsons, Warner Brothers.
Eric BauzaGUEST
13:55
And then I watched the new 90s stuff, you know, after Mel Blanc passed away.
Eric BauzaGUEST
14:00
So the Jeff Bergman era, the Greg Burson, the Bob Bergen, anyone with the last name that starts with a B.
Michael ZavalaHOST
14:07
Yeah.
speaker_0HOST
5:35
Uh, but then there's like other stuff I like, like, the, uh, Sebastian Tweedy mysteries, like Looney Tunes is good.
speaker_0HOST
5:44
I love Looney Tunes and I wish it was more recognizable, but the problem is, is with some of the casting and voice actors, like after Mel Blanc, you had Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen, uh, Joe Lasky, Greg Burson, like Burson and Lasky and for a all died, uh, because they were doing their own things, and now we have another death, which I'm just going to say, this is why I'm recording this.
speaker_0HOST
6:17
I'm really, I woke up to this, and I feel really bad about it.
speaker_0HOST
6:19
It's like Eric Bauza.
Justin HartHOST
5:04
And obviously, you can only do so much to fill that person's shoes.
Justin HartHOST
5:09
So you got people later on in the 90s doing the job, including the likes of Jeff Bergman, who's still in the business, Bob Bergen, who voiced Porky Pig for a couple years, and another late great, Joe Alasky, who wound up taking the mantle of a bunch of the other Looney Tunes characters, including Daffy Duck.
Justin HartHOST
5:29
And then Alasky passed away in, I want to say, the early 2010s.
Justin HartHOST
5:35
And sure enough, Eric Bauza fit like a hand to glove.
Jeff SchineGUEST
74:29
I met some juggernauts early on in my career.
Jeff SchineGUEST
74:37
I remember taking a class with Bob Bergen and then another class with Charlie Adler, whom whom after class, you know, gave me time and, you know, coffees and answered questions and, you know, sitting in a room with your your heroes, you know, or these fucking legends and having them indulge every fucking super green actor question you have i just remember like walking away from that and reflecting and reflecting and years going by and reflecting and going like man if i'm ever in a position to to be of service to another actor like that's exactly what i need to do Because there have been a number of times over the course of my career where another actor sometimes appear, sometimes a legend like them has done or said something which is like literally the sentence that got me through the next year of attempting to do this fucking career, which can sometimes be, so arduous so arduous and difficult and and like um really test you uh as obviously many life paths and careers can can do but uh you know i just if i knew if i was ever in a position to do that that i would want to be of service and help and so i try to do that when i'm teaching
JustinHOST
76:00
so i guess what is do you have like a single piece of advice or you give someone listening now that wanted to jump into voice acting
Jeff SchineGUEST
76:10
Yeah, it's heavy.
