Bob Belcher

It was for a different party that we were going to.

We went as Bob and Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers.

Okay.

I just remember, Ted, you actually did go as a couple's costume.

And it's just riffing on Halloween.

And of course, uh, uh, the Belchers make some cameos in between.

Yeah.

Now, this is almost as good, but not quite, as Bob's Thanksgiving anthem, in which he sings to his turkey over the melody for Angie by the Rolling Stones.

like, well, we should be Bob and Linda from Bob's Burgers.

Linda's the one that does that back dance, throw out the back dance.

No, that's Tina.

Linda is the mom.

So I was like, oh, okay.

Now, there is nothing sexy about Bob and Linda, you know, cartoon parents.

No. Yeah.

Who's your mustache muse?

Bob Belcher.

Um, but that the film pretty much from jump goes ahead and establishes that the narrator is not, uh, super, [laughs] that the, uh, the narrator is not super, uh, reliable.

Uh, the narrator voiced by, uh, H. B- H. Jon Benjamin, who of course you know from voicing, uh, Sterling Archer for, what was that, almost 10 seasons of Archer, and of course v- uh, voicing Bob Belcher, um, in Bob's Burgers, which is, I think, going on, like, season 15, something like that, which is fucking crazy.

Um, I'm such a huge fan of H. Jon Benjamin, um, one of the most recognizable voices in, in the business.

And the way that he's able to go ahead and essentially talk to the audience throughout multiple points in this film, um, I remember when I saw this trailer and I was like, "Oh, I don't know if this film needs a narrator," and I'm a, I'm, I'm, I was 1,000% wrong.

And H. Jon Benjamin, the great voice actor, wrote a memoir called Failure Is an Option.

That's right, and Archer and a whole bunch of other things.

That's how long it took me, which was, in fact, a failure, which I took as an option.

That makes sense.

"Who is Bob Belcher? What is Bob Belcher? Where is Bob Belcher?" And as she's asking-

... she keeps moving it back and forth between her and Bob.

Uh-huh, uh-huh.

[laughs]

And Bob says, "Okay, Lynn." That, "Why is Bob Belcher?"

Yeah.

All right, my number one, which probably for any of you that have listened for a long time or been on our website for a long time, it, it's a two-way tie 'cause it's the same voice: Sterling Archer/Bob Belcher.

I will never get tired of listening to H. Jon Benjamin do that voice.

Oh, yeah, you're making a... [laughs] You're throwing it way back.

[laughs] But also, also, uh, McGurk in Home Movies is also the same voice as Bob Belcher and-
