Anybody, for any reason, can go and report you to the Board of Nursing.

You're not just talking about malpractice cases.

We're talking about Board of Nursing complaints.

We're talking about your license in general.

Maybe the hospital will protect you for a malpractice claim, but they're not going to protect you from personal injury claims.

They're not going to protect you from a board of nursing complaints.

So it's best for you to do your due diligence and your research and see what your options are and cover yourself.

But most of the time not.

You might get reported to the Board of Nursing and face some sort of consequence, but generally not as something as severe as losing your license.

You might get sued civilly.

You might-

Paragon says it has added training and oversight and no patient injury has been

identified.

Because my understanding is the Board of Nursing didn't suspend Erin's nursing license until May of 2025, nearly two years after the hospital's internal investigation in 2023, and months after the criminal charges were already filed.

She even renewed her license in the midst of that for another two years, and it appears the hospital didn't report it to the Board of Nursing.

And I wear that like a badge of honor because more nurses need to talk about that.

I went to the nursing school in Arizona, but it was like the people came who were like the accreditors for the nursing program.

Like they come and they basically say, investigate everything and make sure that your school is like in compliance and gives them the accreditation to uh because you can go to nurse school and get a degree and if like that school doesn't have the appropriate accreditation then you can't take the NCLEX so you have a degree but you're not technically you're not qualified to take the NCLEX and become a nurse and I mean there's not much I mean you know there I guess there's something you could do with a bachelor's or whatever some kind of degree in nursing but if you don't have the license can't be really you know you can't work as a nurse So, Nightingale College has sued the California Board of Nursing on August 24th, challenging a 500-hour direct patient care threshold and an undefined concurrency standard.

It says we're never lawfully adopted for out-of-state graduates.

873 graduates have California licensure applications on hold.

I know there's some listed on our Ohio Board of Nursing.

So I would try all of those things.

And then I would also make sure, again, this is time scheduling and flexibility.
