As Luffy tries to think of how to escape the island that is sitting in the Calm Belt, they are found and informed that the Snake Princess herself is returning.

Ooh, I like this Boa Hancock one.

This one's also a shiny Boa Hancock one.

But they're all commons.

No one has given me like a, ooh, this is a rare card and this is for this character and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

So let's get into the reasons why each of them were there.

And I think the best one to start with and the one I want to talk about is Boa Hancock.

Now, I haven't got into Amazon Lily yet or talked about that.

I wanted to finish this three little marine section off after talking about the worst generation.

Luffy and she's there just basically to protect Luffy.

She's turned up and obviously the secondary role for her turning up is because she needs to keep her status as a warlord of the sea to protect Amazon Lily and the rest of the people that live there.

One day during an argument, Boa decided to test Luffy and turned her powers on him.

When Boa Hancock unleashed her Love-Love Beam with a confident declaration, she fully expected Luffy to succumb like every other soul who had dared to stand before her.

But to her shock, the beam had no effect.

Luffy, utterly unfazed, simply blinked in confusion, scratching his head and asking why she was making strange faces.

Inspired by Rayleigh's stories of Gol D. Roger and his legendary crew, Luffy resolved to meet as many of Roger's old allies and rivals as possible, hoping to learn from them and gather a crew of powerful like-minded individuals.

And the first person that came to his mind was none other than the Warlord of the Sea, Boa.

Upon reaching Amazon Lily, Luffy reunited with Boa Hancock.

Though she was the island's empress and a Warlord of the Sea, Luffy's request for her to join his crew surprised her.

This card's absurd.

And then the last card we got is 4-cost Boa Hancock.

5K, 1K counter, on play.

If your opponent has nine or more cards in their hand, they trash four cards from their hand.

But the Straw Hats did realize that they weren't strong enough for the New World, not like this, so they decided to train.

Rayleigh soon arrived on Rusukaina after Luffy had already befriended Boa Hancock, a Warlord of the Sea.

Luffy himself asked Rayleigh to train him to become stronger.

He also asked Boa to use her connections to find out where the rest of his crew was, and they soon got word that they would reunite after two years had passed.

in a fight.

He'd gotten incredibly good at using haki, and he'd use that strength to help his brother escape.

Luffy learned that Ace was being held at Impel Down, and so he asked for help from Hancock to get him there.

With her help, Luffy sailed to Impel Down and infiltrated the impregnable prison to break his brother out.

But while Doflamingo was a Celestial Dragon, our next Shichibukai was a victim of the Celestial Dragons.

Boa Hancock, the Empress of Amazon Lily, was enslaved by the Celestial Dragons as a child, along with her two sisters.

However, she was then later set free during Fisher Tiger's attack on Mariejois.

Hancock has also known Silvers Rayleigh for a long time, given that Rayleigh's spouse, Shakky, was the former Empress of Amazon Lily as well, and later on she became a warlord in order to protect Amazon Lily from the world government.

Blackbeard, or Marshall D.

Teach, also had a terrible childhood, as we can tell from this childhood drawing from Oda.

But that's what you have to, that's what happens when you, you know, you get, you try to get stuff out there for like Comic-Con.

And the thing that I got this week was the soft goods upgrade for Boa Hancock.

Oh my gosh.

I was going to ask about that.

And no one's made one yet, and I'm sure they will eventually, but you'll probably elevate the crap out of that one too.

Like any other companies that have made one for the 5-2 toys or the Rebel Tech one will probably make one for that.

But yeah, if you've got the Boa Hancock and you like it, but you want to love it, get the upgrade and you're going to love the figure, but she's fantastic.

And yeah, it just,

You can kiss that goodbye.

She's almost on the same level as Boa Hancock for me.

That's what I'm saying.

And mostly, that might just be recency bias, but I don't care.

Oh, we need to talk about this.

Boa Hancock now I think is a really bad matchup for Mihawk.

Before, when we used to run Perona, and maybe that's why some people still do, and 9 cost Mihawk and 7 cost Shanks, the matchup was a lot more favoured and like... easier to deal with now the fact that you have like all the amazon lily cards mixed with the big one package that matchup is just so so painful in my opinion uh yeah the deck so the three decks i lost to on the day were blue yellow boa purple and l i could have won that game I mathematically messed up.

That's completely on me.
