Blues with a Feeling

You're listening to Sean Binley's Blues with a Feeling.

G'day there my friends, and welcome once again to Blues With A Feeling.

There's something very cool for you this week.

As I feature for you, the great Dave Alvin, recorded live out front of his band at the time, was recorded The Guilty Men.

With songs from the latest albums by Jennifer McNess, Jason Ritchie and Bad Kind, Harold Davenport, and this from the Bone Shakers' new one, Pull Up The Roots.

It's good while it's good, but your luck won't last.

This is Blues With A Feeling.

Bab-a-loo-mow-mow,

You're listening to Sean Binley's Blues with a Feeling.

G'day there my friends, and welcome once again to Blues With A Feeling.

All sorts of cool stuff on the way this week, as I return to one of my favourite sources of inspiration for the show, legendary Austin, Texas-based blues entrepreneur Clifford Antone.

Just one of Mr. Clifford's many ventures was his record label Antone's Records.

Maybe God will.

And find another way But I just keep telling myself It's just another day Thank you.

Hi, this is Sue Foley, and you're listening to Blues with a Feeling with Sean Bindley.

We got a job for you with a really good future.

Playing music washed in the muddy waters of the Mississippi and beyond.

This is Sean Bendley's Blues With a Feeling.

[singing] G'day there, my friends, and welcome once again to Blues With a Feeling.

You know, there are certain moments in a music lover's life that stay suspended in amber.

Moments you don't just remember, but moments you feel every time they come back to you.

The kind of band you assemble only when you know exactly what you want your debut album to say, and what an album it is.

And of course, as I like to do, to bring added perspective to the record, I sat down with Alex Schultz to discuss Think About It and much, much more.

And what would an episode of Blues With a Feeling be without at least one set of the new releases that have been peaking my levels this week, including new music from Geneva McNess; a young man that's kind of turned the blues world a little on its ear, Harold Davenport; there's the wonderful singer and bass player Danielle McCall; and to kick this week's show off with exactly the right attitude, here's The Bone Shakers with a track from the band's brand new release, Pull Up the Roots.
