Blueprint North Carolina

Um, uh- Try to be brief, um, which also helps me correct something that's in the program.

It's based [laughs] on this work, um, and initially, um, the production of it, development of it supported by, uh, Blueprint NC.

Uh, the story, m- the core of it is based off of events that happened in 2022, not 2020, as it says in the program, um, where, where, where, a white supremacist took out the power in Moore County to stop a drag show, and it was a drag show my, uh, drag family member was a part of.

And, um, through c- through collaborators at Blueprint, like Nab Siegrist really wanted to uplift, again, like clear resistance and resilience, and really try to challenge people to think about, like who are the real villains in this situation? Because, like the drag performers, the artists, the queer community were really targeted, but they didn't take out the power for 45,000 homes in the middle of winter.
