Blue Devil

This episode, Once Upon a Weirdness Magnet, Blue Devil, issue number nine.

Hello, and welcome to the Once Upon a Geek podcast, a proud member of the Fire & Water Podcast Network.

On today's episode, we're finding our joy as we continue our coverage of one of my all-time favorite characters in comic book series, Blue Devil.

Today, we're specifically covering Blue Devil issue number nine from 1984.

My name is the Irredeemable Shag, and I'm your host, but I'm not doing this alone.

I'm once again joined by my own personal weirdness magnet, Mr. Diabolu Frank.

And they mentioned that I had the four-color Rolls-Royce and one of the Bane shows on that is DC's Secret Files, blah, blah, blah.

But the other thing I thought was interesting is they also mentioned that I am a legacy guest on the Fire & Water podcast, which is correct because if I recall correctly, I was your very first guest and ruined it for everybody else.

I'll make one quick comment.

Now, I again, I was doing a little bit of research for and Blue Devil, who he's becoming is a character in DC Comics, who has like a minor thing and Swamp Thing.

He's not like a major Swamp Thing character, but he is a character also Phantom Stranger, also a character in the comics.

I had to think so.

I was just certainly Blue Devil.

And like, this is clearly a character.

So he's finally turned into the actual Blue Devil.

I mean, it looks good.

That is.

[laughs] Uh, Blue Devil, and Donna Troy.

Um, I'm not familiar with Trigon, but that's a very cool figure.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'm from the '90s.

Um, you know what? For the sake of, again, I'm, I'm playing the same tune, I'm going Blue Devil.

Okay.
