Episode 156- Plymouth Argyle Preview.
T
0:50Tom MayneHOST
You're most welcome.
T
0:51Tom MayneHOST
Yeah, I don't really want to relive the game at Bloomfield Road last time.
T
0:55Tom MayneHOST
It was... capitulation and an absolute horror show from from us from every angle and whilst i somewhat expected it it was uh it was not enjoyable and it sort of surmised our season in one entire game i think yeah so um but yeah how have you been you know it's been a it's been a pretty up and down summer for plymouth um but yeah how have you been since we've since we last spoken
J
1:18JonGUEST
Yeah, good.
6 MINS LATER
T
7:15Tom MayneHOST
I think their manager obviously contributes towards that, but there's going to be some anomalies in this league.
T
7:20Tom MayneHOST
Everyone can't be good at every point.
T
7:23Tom MayneHOST
And like you say, the eye test is something that I think League One fans really need to get used to because we had Bromley at Bloomfield Road on Saturday and we just got sucker punched into their game and we just fell for everything and they showed every bit of experience that Woodman has given them from from non-league to to to league two etc and and you've got to play your own game sometimes and some games are going to be ugly and some you're going to look incredible but league one is is never consistent in terms of the football being played unless you get teams like yourselves when you know you get 101 points in ipswich and southern through the years have showed consistency but sometimes it's going to be ugly but the most important thing is you don't lose and you obviously win more than more than you lose and you'll be there or thereabouts so you know I for one think you're going to be up there this campaign you know and you know I'm sure on Saturday it's going to be a very difficult test for us
J
8:13JonGUEST
Yeah, just quickly, I think with Cleverley, he is clearly learning on the job all the time.
Can Argyle make it three? Blackpool FC V Plymouth Argyle Match Preview
M
11:19MikeHOST
Blackpool are only two points behind us, though.
M
11:21MikeHOST
They are unbeaten at Bloomfield Road in the league.
M
11:24MikeHOST
And Ian Evatt has a side that wants to dominate the ball and play with intensity.
M
11:29MikeHOST
So this is certainly not a case of turning up and expecting win number three.
6 MINS LATER
M
17:55MikeHOST
But Bromley still created plenty themselves.
M
17:58MikeHOST
So there is a vulnerability there.
M
18:00MikeHOST
Argyle might not dominate the ball at Bloomfield Road, but that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't going to be controlling where the dangerous moments could happen.
M
18:09MikeHOST
We saw that against Barnsley.
League One Review: First managerial sacking
J
22:34Jamie JohnsonHOST
No, I completely agree.
J
22:35Jamie JohnsonHOST
Then we'll move on, uh, then to Bloomfield Road on is even there between Blackpool and Bromley.
J
22:41Jamie JohnsonHOST
Uh, this one, um, an interesting sort of topsy-turvy game you'd call it.
J
22:45Jamie JohnsonHOST
Blackpool hit the lead twice and were pegged back twice by a Bromley team who I think showed a lot of character i-in terms of getting something out of this game.
THE LAST WORD Bolton Wanderers v Cardiff City
M

M

Different times.

Different, different times.
S3 Ep58: Arsenal's title to lose ALREADY?! | Gameweek 4 Best Bets & Predictions | The Assist 26/27
T
43:09Tom McGarryHOST
They made a bright start to life in the third tier, but 7-2, 5-0, 2-0 defeats in their last three games.
T
43:16Tom McGarryHOST
I think it's going to be a long, hard season for Andy Woodman's side, and I can't see them getting anything from their trip, their long trip north to Bloomfield Road.
T
43:25Tom McGarryHOST
So Dan's gone for Wolves to beat Sheffield United at his best bet.
T
43:29Tom McGarryHOST
Jack fancies Stockport to get the better of Leicester, and I think Blackpool will beat Bromley on home soil.

T
17:13Tom MayneHOST
you're definitely missing i think it was a couple of years ago at bloomfield road when you had like four injuries you had to end up playing like four or five teenagers and i know we came out trumps in the end but you could definitely tell like
M
17:24MattGUEST
hunting ground for us anyway bloomfield road
T
17:27Tom MayneHOST
well that was the case with uh Yeah, whatever you want to name your stage name, I completely forgot.
T
17:33Tom MayneHOST
Obviously, we'll always name it after Majeski.
17 MINS LATER
T
34:41Tom MayneHOST
We'll be back next week to look back at this game and look ahead to Bromley also.
T
34:46Tom MayneHOST
There's Blackpool after this, back-to-back away games, have back-to-back home games.
T
34:50Tom MayneHOST
So it's going to be interesting if we can get a victory this weekend to see if we can build on that with making Bloomfield Road a fortress.

You're not thinking about division three football next season.
J
39:19Jamie RooneyHOST
You're thinking, Bloomfield Road, we're back here.
J

Blackpool Preview
M
22:17Matt LansleyHOST
It'd be very much a statement, I think, for either team, I think, with a win here, because I think they're two teams that really feel like they can do something this season.
T
22:27TomGUEST
If it was at Bloomfield Road, I would not accept anything other than a win.
T
22:30TomGUEST
So I would expect you to want to win because you're at home.
M
22:33Matt LansleyHOST
I would be expecting probably nothing else than a draw.
M
22:37Matt LansleyHOST
Sorry, nothing else than a loss at Bloomfield Road because we never do well there.
T
22:40TomGUEST
Yeah, sure.
T
22:40TomGUEST
But what I mean is when you're at home, you don't want anyone to come to ground and win.

Tonight we'll be looking back at an almost perfect afternoon at Bloomfield Road as Blackpool batter posh 4-0 with Jerry Yates scoring upon his return to Bloomfield Road.
T
0:18Tom MayneHOST
A lot more to discuss about that game and we'll also be previewing the Barnsley match tomorrow night.
T
0:24Tom MayneHOST
Fingers crossed that Blackpool can get another three points, but more to come of that later.
T
1:28Tom MayneHOST
Just obviously we're going to talk about the game, but how was being at Bloomford on Saturday with the return of, you know, the prodigal son, Jerry Yates?
P
1:38PaulHOST
It was brilliant.
P
1:39PaulHOST
That's probably the best afternoon I've had at Bloomfield Road in a long time.
P
1:43PaulHOST
It was a feel-good factor.
