So now he's got the blood axe, right? And actually, I talked to Claire yesterday, Claire Danham, a friend of the show, who's a scholar of the Vikings in Ireland and the North Sea, etc.
Terry BarnesHOST
45:55
And we were talking about it because I don't know if you remember this, CJ, but when Alex Harvey came on, the show i think it was on the show anyway i remember alex saying that he thought felt like he and claire down and were like the only two people in the world who made me believe that eric bloodaxe was not a real person and so i asked her about that yesterday and she was talking about actually i mean some of the stuff that you were just mentioning paul i mean you're trying to research this and the way that people sort of latched onto and sort of um you know sort of fudged with genealogies and things like that back in the day uh that it's very difficult to then sort of figure out like is this the same person is this the same person as this one over here etc and that she thinks that maybe you know maybe he was a real person but there's some confusion that there was a an eric of york and then there was eric bloodaxe sort of like king of norway and like are these two people maybe again getting to kind of an amalgamation or a composite or whatever or or that they were two separate people, et cetera.

[laughs] Okay.
MarshallHOST

It's called Blood Axe, and it's from, I believe, the same folks.
MarshallHOST
28:28
So let's check it out.
CourtneyHOST
28:29
It definitely has the vibe, you know, of Vikings.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:15
'Cause they've talked about doing things like Spider-Gwen series, and there's all sorts of things that have been thrown around as possibilities for series, but this seems to be the one that they're closest to at the moment, so we'll see.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:28
Also over on Prime, we got another three cast members for Bloodaxe season two, which is filming currently in Ireland.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:36
If you're thinking, Bloodaxe, what's that? I haven't seen season one.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:39
It's 'cause season one hasn't come out yet.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:42
It is another Viking saga from Michael Hirst, alongside his son, Horatio Hirst.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:51
I think somebody else actually did the Vikings thing that was over on Netflix.
Dave ElliottHOST
54:56
But it was based as a sort of continuation of that same franchise, but so I think he was exec producer on it, but didn't actually write that one.
Dave ElliottHOST
55:04
But Bloodaxe is essentially another one of those.
