Blood diamond

Well, as we weirdly watched Blood Diamond this weekend-

We did watch Blood Diamond

... and it showing how-

... how it's actually done, and how it's not create- you know, creating havoc.

Yeah.

Um, so and, and I think because of things like Blood Diamond and those sort of practices, people, purchasers now are, are very conscious that what they buy hasn't caused conflict.

In those places, small-scale mining operations often use forced and child labor and sell diamonds to fund violent conflicts.

We call those blood diamonds.

Even though international organizations have tried to crack down on them, they're still out there in the diamond market.

Now that's a deeply complex topic.

Yeah, we punched them over the weight.

Well, above our population, but I mean, but that's like we have the resources at our disposal that a lot of countries with this size population just don't have because we neighbour, you know, the superpower and we just so happen to have everything that they need and that they want, right? These other guys, they get left, you know, have you ever seen the movie Blood Diamonds?

Yeah.

Yeah, well, you know, it's like, thank God we're not like those guys where, you know, we're so close to them, they can't treat us like that because people will know.
