But it turns out there's actually a fascinating story behind this giant red paperclip.

So in 2005, a Canadian blogger named Kyle MacDonald started a project called One Red Paperclip, and his goal was to start with a single red paperclip and barter his way all the way up to a house.

Which is crazy.

He eventually donated the house back to the town, and the house got turned into the Paperclip Cottage Cafe.

If you're just hiring a blogger right away because you don't want to blog and you are relying on their XBO, SEO experience or expertise, I've never seen that work out well.

Again, nothing against bloggers.

Bloggers are great, but their job is not SEO.

And like so many people, the information about best practices that makes it out into mainstream is usually wrong.

It's usually outdated or based on some sort of misinformation, misconceptions, et cetera.
