Anyway, when we got off at Bletchley, we were very kindly ushered into a coach with the luggage and everything, a coach full of girls, and we were taken the long way round and taken to the billeting office.

And then we were given a ticket for lunch.

So we've just come over most of East West Rail now.

We're not actually far from Bletchley and joining the West Coast Main Line.

We've just been through Winslow.

Um, and actually the whole journey's been remarkably rapid.

The only other time I've done this is in the cab of a freight locomotive, and we were obviously restricted on speed.

But actually, when you can do this on a passenger train, you suddenly realize actually how quick this journey will be between Oxford and Milton Keynes.

Not long after passing through Winslow, we cross over the West Coast Main Line as we approach Bletchley.

So we've just passed through Bletchley high-level station, and we're now going down the bank to join the West Coast Main Line, and then we'll head up to Milton Keynes.
