Blake Babies

He still does when they do shows.

And he was in the Blake Babies and just a wonderful guy.

And I remember talking to him and saying, you know, there's this record that I did 30 years ago.

And he basically said, yeah, I'd love to help you.

Yes.

But we had never brought up her band Blake Babies.

Blake Babies.

So this is another one that I remember fondly from watching 120 Minutes as a teenager.

I'm going with Blake Babies' 1990 track Out There.

First of all, it brings back fond memories of that time, but it perfectly captures that moment when college rock intersected with classic jangle.

It's powered by these bright, ringing guitars.

It feels effortlessly cool, a- at least unless you watch the video and see the band goofy dancing in it.

And it grabbed me.

And then when she goes high, she sounds a little bit like Juliana Hatfield, I thought, from the Blake Babies.

I can hear that.

A discerning vinyl collector looking for a VG Plus copy should be prepared to spend about 20 bucks

It's Julianna Hadfield.

She was in Blake Babies too.

Yay!

Okay, okay.
