Blair Imani

Scrolling for hours and hours on social media is a particularly bad habit of mine, but every once in a while, one of the videos that I see is actually quite educational.

I am, of course, talking about the Smarter In Seconds video series by Blair Imani.

Blair Imani is an educational influencer best known for her work on social media, where oftentimes people just refer to her as the smarter in seconds lady.

She's also a published author.

Her book Read This to Get Smarter came out over five years ago.

So I wonder if you can introduce yourself to our listeners, your name, who you are, what you do in the world, just in case they don't know your amazing work.

No worries.

My name is Blair Imani.

But, well, I also wanna mention too, like the legacy that, you know, Imam Muhsin Hendricks has just...

I mean, it's felt in the pages of the work that you're doing, Mariam, in Queer and Muslim, but also, like, having Blair Imani write a really powerful, um, opening or blurb on the cover of the book, I should say.

Yes.

Like, why do you...

Like, even with Blair Imani's work, like, being so present in the media space-

Yeah

YeahHow are you seeing now that importance of these conversations being front and center?

Um, this book does that in a different way 'cause it's a collection of short stories, poems, et cetera.
