Let's talk about the Beast of Bladenboro.

... that one doesn't really have many, like, stories about it.

It's just like, "I saw it." That's kind of it.

But the Beast of Bladenboro was centered around events that happened in the winter of 1953, 1954.

Bladenboro is another Eastern Carolina part of the state, very close to the Lumberton, Fayetteville area.

Lennon wasn't hanging from a tree.

He was found hanging from a swing set in Bladenboro, North Carolina.

This happened August 29, 2014.

Lennon was a football player, and it was football season, and he This particular night before his body was found, his daddy was telling him, you know, you need to get some sleep.

This one is in 18th century history.

This is the era of tail fins, soda fountains, and nuclear paranoia.

The locals described it as a sleek black cat creature about 90 pounds that makes a sound like a baby crying.

A baby crying? Imagine stepping out of your porch at 2am to smoke a cigarette, hearing an infant sobbing in the bushes, looking down and seeing a shadowy, blood-guzzling panther waiting to pop Your head like a ripe grape.

The mayor of Bladenboro, God bless his publicly loving heart, didn't call the National Guard.

He called a hunting party.
