So anyways, the match ended in a DQ finish and Hickerson got busted open.

After Mantell took over the Freedom Fighters, They would eventually become the Blade Runners, and they had a very short stint up until, it was end of January, and they were in a tournament for the vacant AWA Southern Tag Team Championship.

They actually would go on to defeat Hickerson and the Spoiler in the quarterfinals, but they would eventually lose to the Fantastics in the semifinals, and then they would leave shortly after.
