First topic I'll mention is you probably guys already heard our wonderful Ali that got contracted to be Blade has put it on Twitter

that he is no longer going to be Blade.

He was never going to be Blade, bro.

So Blade's pretty interesting.

So his real name is Eric Cross Brooks, a.k.a. Blade.

He first appeared in Marvel Comics in the Tomb of Dracula, number 10, in July of 1973.

And originally he was just a side character.

Because Blade gains his abilities when his mother is giving birth to him.

And Deacon Frost, who is a vampire, bites his mother.

And when he did that, it passed specific enzymes into Eric and turned him into Blade, giving him... quote-unquote day walker abilities um so yeah so he is considered uh damn pure which is an act apparently this is like an actual term like it's not it's not marvel specific this is like a real world like term that has been used before yes

This could be a good introduction for Ghost Rider.

This could be a way that they, again, bring back the characters from the last special presentation that they had, and then finally give us fucking Mahershala Ali as Blade.

We're all waiting for this.

I saw Mahershala Ali going off about that.

He's, he's been in the media being pissed about Blade, which I don't blame the guy.

My thinking was if they do a Fantastic Four sequel, this is where they do it.

But I think I'm gonna stand on my business and say it's Blade.

I could see them pushing it.

I mean, I don't think that Blade had a big significance on all the other ones, but I did make the argument that Blade's reasoning could have pushed Fantastic Four [laughs] and all the other ones.

So yeah, the Blade reboot that was touted, I want to say at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 or 2019, is not happening.

Kevin Feige... is quoted as saying, I feel like a gigantic loser and failure that we didn't get off the ground with Marshala Ali.

I'm sorry if I butchered, but I'm butchering his name.

But anyway, Variety has here, Marvel boss Kevin Feige gets brutally honest about the studio's failed Blade reboot.

Feige previously explained how the prolonged delays on Blade were a symptom of Marvel's over-expansion into Disney Plus streaming content where, for the very first time ever, quantity trumped quality.
