Blacksville

Um, and, and, and in a little bit of preparation for, for our conversation this morning, I had, um, uh, Dan Deshenka, who's the head of our operations, kind of provide me with some, some data, uh, re-regarding that.

Um, currently, uh, from the, the, the-- from October of '20, basically for the last year, um, in our, our r-rural areas, um, and, and our response time on average to the Blacksville region, um, has been reduced down to seventeen minutes on average.

Clinton District is fourteen minutes, Cheat Lake fifteen.

Those are considered our rural areas, and the average of all of those is, is fifteen minutes.

Um, Eddy's parents, who was, her mother's Terri Cundin- Cundian and Greg Eddy, they divorced when, in 2000 after her father was in a car wreck that left him with a traumatic brain injury.

... she and her mother moved to Blacksville, from Blacksville, sorry, to Morgantown, West Virginia, where Shelia was then able to start attending University High School alongside Skylar.

I said, uh, "What do, what do, what do I do?" You know, she said, "Well, first of all, call Sheila." That's the first person you call.

Sheila Eddy and Skylar Neese met in the second grade at an afterschool program near Blacksville, where Sheila grew up.

They were about eight years old, and they were fast friends.

If they weren't together, they were on the phone together, and that's literally 24 hours a day.

But then investigators chase a possible lead in the form of a post-midnight text exchange between Skylar and a boy named Eric.

Eric was a friend out in Blacksville.

He was good friends with her.
