Blackman High School

Colby Shippard had a 45-yard punt return for the go-ahead touchdown on the win for the Wildcats.

Blackman, 27, Siegel, 9.

Travell Gordon, 12 carries, 66 yards, one touchdown for the Blaze.

Centennial gets their first win of the year, 20-7 over Lawson.

I think Oakland would be your number one because of total wins.

You know, it's going to be an interesting – In Erickson, go around there.

And then another spot for that last spot, you've got Blackman and Rockville.

And Rockville, from what I see, I believe Rockville's in with a win.

I'm sorry.

We'll have Siegel at Blackman.

Segal at Blackman.

Smyrna is at Laverne.

Big rivalry game.

Hm.

We're at Blackman, I think, Friday.

It's okay.

My feelings aren't hurt.

Um, you got two 4-3 teams, man, gonna slug it out on the MyTV30 Friday Night Rivals game, man.

Blackman at Smyrna.

Um, what's the outlook for this one as this is a region game as well?

That's right, and it's an important one, especially for Blackman.

Uh, Region 3-6A, the- that's the Rutherford County region.

It's one of the toughest ones there is, right? If not the toughest one.

Oakland's 3-1.

Smyrna is 3-1.

And don't discount that as just some kind of gimmick because the 49ers have literally scored touchdowns in the Super Bowl and in an NFC playoff game at Philadelphia because of Juwan Jennings' background as a quarterback, even a college quarterback.

He was recruited out of Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville as a quarterback.

And then he switched from QB to wide receiver.

But there were trick plays, even at Tennessee, where he threw a touchdown to his future 49ers teammate, Josh Dobbs.

I think maybe Titan needs to hire B.J. Callaghan to motivate these guys, you know, because yesterday was absolutely a kinda show that...

I mean, honestly, Blackman High School in Murfreesboro I think played better than Titan did yesterday.

[laughs]

Yeah, appreciate you guys.

Uh, it's gonna be, uh, 9:00 to 11:00.

Of course, that's named after Blackman Blaze-

The Blaze, yeah

...

Four touchdowns for the Bruins.

Number 10, Blackman, 22.

Stewart's Creek, zero.

Max Wilcox, five receptions, 151 yards, one touchdown for the Blaze.

These guys are fun to watch, and they're going out and having fun, and I think that has just so much to do with what Scott Stidham's been able to do, fostering a really cool system out there that's just grinding away.

They've shut out three of their last five teams, two of their last three, and then Hillsboro had the one last night, but It's just things are clicking.

And, you know, go back to that September 11th game out at Blackman to be able to pick up that 38-21 win.

That was kind of like the solidifying one, like, hey, you know, we got something going on here.

And former of all, Jawan Jennings.

Jawan Jennings, Blackman Blaze.

Who is

always a threat in the red zone.
