Blacklisted by History

And all of American Betrayal looks way back.

And M. Stanton Evans' Blacklisted by History, his wonderful book about McCarthy, looks back.

And I always get the feeling that these are conservative thought leaders, Horowitz, et cetera, the Cold War historians.

Their frame is very recent and tends to keep a lid on all of these machinations that were at the time very clearly directed by the Soviet Union.

Islamophobe.

So I was curious, did we have something in our past that was in any way similar to this? And I happened to read M.

Stanton Evans' book, Blacklisted by History, about Joseph McCarthy, which I didn't know much about at all when I picked it up in around 2007 or 8.

And when I read his book and I saw how red baiting, the word red baiting was one of the ways you stopped conversation about the communist infiltration.
