Blackjack Lanza

And you see the WWF officials, they come out.

You saw, like, Jack Lanza, Tony Gurria, let's see, Rene Goulet, and I believe Terry Garvin also came out.

Lanza came out with a damn sledgehammer and starts beating on the casket.

Some of the guys are trying to get it unlocked and pried apart.

It had been ripped apart, basically showing that Warrior was fighting and prying and clawing and scratching to get out of that casket.

And...

According to Bruce Pritchard, one of the reasons Jack Lanza took a sledgehammer and was beaten on the casket, that was actually a direct shot at Warrior because apparently Warrior wasn't very popular amongst the agents backstage.

And that's kind of why they really took their sweet time getting him out, supposedly.

Of Sean and Brett being whiny babies about where they can and can't dress.

If I'm George the Animal Steel, who was a road agent at the time, I'm just like, what does it fucking matter? What the fuck is going on right now? Jack Lanza.

Reporting back to Vince.

This

Yeah.

The co-main event is Blackjack Lanza and Bobby Duncan are defending their tag titles against Bruger and Crusher in a steel cage.

Oh, Duncan and Blackjack? That's right.

Blackjack Lanza, yeah.

Not the bigger mulligan.

All right, so before we jump into the match, just quickly touching on Brad Rangins.

i don't know if it's about feet i mean it's just it's a weird one because i mean there's no correlation to any type to that so i don't know

officially blackjack lanza's role has been changed

He'll remain as an agent on a few big shows and TV tapings, but will be taken on the regular road grind.

In the case of Jim Myers, George Animal Steel, apparently he'll be retained and they will rotate the remaining agents rather than come back on a position.

Yeah.

I mean, well, he works TV later, too.

And it also mentions, and this is what set up the Blackjack Lanza thing, it said Lanza and George Steele were dropped as agents, but they both have their jobs saved, right?

Yeah.

alive? No, he's dead, but he would have been 100.

Blackjack and then Zeta Stilt is 23.

Tomorrow would have been Black Jack Lanza's 91st birthday.

Okay.

Dangerous Dan Spivey's turning 74.

All right.

[lip smack] Um, and also not with us anymore, Nikolai Volkoff, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 70, and Black Jack Lanza, who passed away in '21 at the age of 86.

We definitely thank both of those gentlemen for their contributions to this great sport of professional wrestling.

[upbeat music] Grab a seat, jabronis.

God rest his soul.

I wanna say Jack Lan- the late Jack Lanza, probably Terry Garvin, and some others.

Oh, and Tony Garea.

Can't forget about him.

But that's, I gotta, I gotta thank him for that.

Um, Jack Lanza.

Wow.

That was someone I thought would never, I would never warm up to.

So match number six, Ben, you were telling me that you were confused by this match.

We had a six-man tag match with Jesse Ventura, Ken Patera, and Black Jack Lanza taking on Greg Gagne, Jim Brunzel, and Rick Martel.

Of course, Greg Gung and Jim Brunzel known as the High Flyers.

And I remember this tag

So, anyway.

But then Brunzel ends up getting another hot tag.

And then we get figure four leg lock on Jack Lanza.

And then everything goes to shit before Bobby Heenan... got involved with his signature manager, Eltrix, and assisted them in getting the three count.
