Black Order

I think there may be an early draft I've read online.

About the other four children that he has in the Black Order, four lieutenants, general lieutenants, we kind of see that go to Earth and try to get the different Infinity Stones.

They have a relationship with Thanos, too.

He calls them their children, his sons and daughters.

I just interject here, though, because starting the movie on a less depressing moment when like two minutes in Heimdall gets killed and like three minutes in Loki gets killed, something like that.

Pretty depressing.

but yeah they're just focusing on the main characters i think that's all people want to see so i understand the purpose of that but i think there is some backstory that's cut out where you are introduced to the other four the rest of thanos's children but i think would have been nice to see this movie i think would have filled it out a little bit more besides gamora and nebula to kind of give them a little bit of a history and story too i mean it's already very thanos centric but to kind of understand the other bad guys so it's not just one bad guy and then a bunch of henchmen the black order is not just like henchmen it's his children we're nice to have a little more you know background i think for the audience on those characters

Yeah, it is a little confusing.

So I actually have one today.

um and uh excuse me if i swear too much but uh so i was playing a game uh this morning actually and um we were on survivors and i was playing black order and um for those of you who don't know in the new meta black order's pretty good at killing stuff um between corvus and cgr sometimes and at higher threats and um so uh there was a juggernaut and the previous turn um i proceeded to do seven damage to him so or six or something but either way he was like alive on two or one um I didn't want to go into him right away because I could have given up Pryo and I want to see what he did.

So I kind of waited an activation or two.

But at a certain moment, it came time to, you know, rip Nebula into him.

So yeah.

Um, But yeah, that was a fun game.

And Black Order is a lot of fun.

If you haven't tried them out, they're pretty good, especially at like 18, 20 right now.

If that had been our intro to Steve, it would have been a far less cool moment than that.

than when he came in to save Wanda and Vision, who were being attacked by two of the Black Order.

Yeah, and I love the little thing when Tony questions Doctor Strange, saying, what is your job exactly besides making a balloon animal? It's a direct reference to when Benedict Cumberbatch did a skit on Jimmy Kimmel Live back in 2016 promoting Doctor Strange.

In the skit, Jimmy has invited Doctor Strange to a kid's birthday party, assuming that he can use his magic to entertain the kids.

Right.

But the, the, how visceral it is, the, the attack on them, you know, I think it's even more just because of how we're like, wait a minute, he's hurting vision, you know, the visions in real trouble there.

Yeah, and it's like this isn't supposed to be able to happen, but the Black Order is powerful enough.

They're able to disrupt his phasing and stab him, and he is injured, like a real person.

Yeah.

I mean, it's, it's like, not, not content-wise, but level of action, it's like the end of Endgame where you've got all the heroes fighting all the Black Order and all the, you know, the, uh, the, the, the monsters, the henchmen they bring in, and Thanos and all that stuff.

Like, like, where every minute on screen, you're, like, devouring all this action 'cause it's really, really good.

Oh my god, yes.

I had to go back and look because I was like, wait, so I ran a Midnight Suns Black Order splash when I was trying to figure out how to kind of shore up some of the perceived weaknesses in the Black Order game against wider teams, especially on the flip secure style objectives.

And so I bumped Corvus you know, and I was like, wow, I don't remember Corvus having a bump printed on his card before, but, uh, I have definitely mothershipped him less than one inch away just to get range two on somebody before.

So that was, uh, that was very exciting.

Guardians so again on the two point like rabbit hole I think Guardians is in a slightly different spot.

because they legit have 2-2 threats that can have a meaningful impact on the game.

Well, I guess also they are kind of being made more relevant, too, because Black Order now has access to Nebula, and that's kind of big.

Love that.

and getting some context on how the Builders saga fits in with the ongoing incursions.

And then on the other side, we get the Black Order invading Wakanda while Black Panther is gone.

He's off dealing with this.

And stumbling upon the Illuminati's base in the Necropolis.

Yeah, so a lot of like you said, a lot of assumptions being shaken here about like they are meeting the builders, or at this point just the builder creations still, in a context that they didn't expect.

And they're having to recontextualize based on that.

Meanwhile, we get some more of the Black Order Siege of Wakanda where Namor sent them saying that the Infinity Gem was there.

Right.

That is it.

I need to finish CGR because he's cracked under Black Order.

And I need to finish Crossbones because he's an easy model.

And it would be easy to say I got an easy model done.

I was like, oh, shit, I didn't know.

i thought you could do that that was like the worst thing so it's terrible you guys can crucify me later
