Black Lantern Corps

He is completely separated from the Oan space cops, and yet his green energy still somehow taps into that same universal emotional spectrum.

The article specifically notes that his ring was uniquely effective against the Black Lanterns during the Blackest Night storyline, which is a massive feat.

It is, but here's the thing that always trips up modern readers.

The standard space cop lanterns famously had a weakness to the color yellow, which we'll get into the mechanics of that later, but Alan Scott's weakness-

He's the guy who looks at a crashing experimental aircraft and doesn't blink.

His resume is absurd.

Founding member of the Justice League, going toe-to-toe with cosmic gods like Darkseid, outsmarting Brainiac, holding the line against the Black Lanterns.

He is the poster boy, the Michael Jordan of the Green Lantern Corps.

There's a

couple of ways to interpret that, right? Does that mean that like he's already messed with Necron and he's messing with the Black Lantern rings? Does that mean that like he, that's the part I don't get.

The, I'm going to assume too, this is James Gunn's DCU, okay? So we have to understand James Gunn really likes playing into some of these obscure characters.

I think we're going to see a lot of them in the Jimmy Olsen and Grodd show.

Yeah, I mean, you're not a DC girl, so that's fine.

I also like, I think the whole Green Lantern thing for me, I only was vaguely interested when they did the whole Black Lantern thing.

That could be an interesting—if they were to do a season based on that, it would be interesting.

And I like the cat, who's a Red Lantern.

I love that.

So you've tipped your hat to the idea that we're going to see the other Lantern Corps, and the big bad storyline for that, Blackest Night, is where you learn about the Black Lantern Corps, where you start essentially, I want to say his name is Necron.

I could be getting that wrong.

I got to double check.

But anyways, a great show that came out this week.

We got Lanterns, episode six.

[claps] Gentlemen, what did we think about this? It just keeps getting sad, and it's awesome.

Like, as a sad boy myself, um, this series is very depressing, uh, and it's only getting more depressing, and it's making me fall more and more in love with it.

Three Lantern theory.

Specifically green, though.

They're specifically Green Lanterns.
