Bixby

I don't have any of the annoyances.

So then know whether it's Siri or Bixby, if you have an Android.

Well, if you have a Samsung, it's Bixby.

So I have none of these on so that they can't bother.

But I will say one of the things that this week has really made me laugh was Microsoft when they did their update to really turn Copilot into like the one...

Um, so last week when I was researching the Samsung Mega, a smartphone, I learned about a thing on the Mega that I had never heard of.

This was a predecessor of Bixby, a voice assistant on a bunch of Samsung Galaxy phones from the time.

Um, it was discontinued and replaced by Bixby.

What was it called?

Hmm.

Wait, so the prece- predecessor to Bixby?

Yes, the voice assistant on Samsung phones before Bixby.

It was, in fact, on the Samsung Mega, the hilarious big/small phone we talked about last week.

I'm thinking Bixby.

Sure.

Russia credit got me through a lot.

[laughs]

Oh, yeah.

It's not one assistant.

You've got Bixby for some things.

You've got Google for others.

You've got the Meta glasses will do some things.

So there's, like, two or three different categories of things.

There's things that, that you would think it should do that it just can't do.

There are things that Google does pretty well, and there's some things that, uh, Bixby does that Google can't do.

So you, you kinda do that.

We have it actually.

Uh, Samsung has this refrigerator called the Bixby.

It can understand requests such as temporarily lowering the fridge temperature because you're loading groceries or stopping ice production while you're away.

That's smart.

In particular, the Samsung Bespoke AI Refrigerators.

which are a four-door fridge that are Bixby enabled.

If you don't recall, Bixby is the name of Samsung's Siri knockoff.

These refrigerators have really cool features like they respond to voice commands.

They have a camera inside so that you can use the screen to look at what's inside the fridge without opening the door.

That's what I wonder sometimes.

Am, am I even using Siri AI? What is this? Is this Bixby? What is this?

That's the main-

Cortana?

Bixby's great, by the way, in case, uh, Samsung's listening.

I-

Cortana's terrible
